Meri was born in Sandy, Utah, and moved to Southern Utah at the age of twelve, a transition that helped shape her adaptability and appreciation for growth and change. Given the name America at birth, Meri carries a distinctive personal history that reflects individuality, resilience, and a thoughtful perspective on life.

Meri has a deep love for reading and lifelong learning. Her favorite books include The Lord of the Rings series and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, stories that reflect her appreciation for imagination, enduring themes, and richly developed characters. Reading remains one of her favorite ways to relax while continuing to learn and reflect.

Music is another meaningful part of Meri’s life. She plays the piano and values the discipline, creativity, and focus that music encourages. This artistic outlet provides balance and calm, complementing her analytical interests.

After raising her children, Meri returned to college and earned an Associate Degree, an accomplishment that reflects her determination and commitment to personal growth. During her studies, she especially enjoyed finance, developing a strong interest in structure, planning, and thoughtful decision-making.

Family remains central to Meri’s life. She is the proud mother of three children and a devoted grandmother to two grandchildren. Her experiences as both a parent and grandparent have shaped her grounded approach, strong sense of responsibility, and appreciation for long-term planning.
